Hello. My name is Ed and I'm a walkaholic. But it's OK--I'm in a 12 step program.

b.1944, happily married to Candice, happily retired, so-so Sagittarius, in that order.

Why Starwalker? I like stars, we come from the stars, stars are beautiful at night away from city lights. I don't like walking in the hot sun. "We are stardust, We are golden, We are billion year old carbon, And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden" -- Joni Mitchell

I like spoonerisms. My username in spoonerism would be Warstalker.

I was fortunate enough to see some of the world before retiring and while I liked traveling, I love being home even more.

Places I've lived in the U.S. - Indiana (several times), Alabama, Florida (more than once), New York, Alaska, Washington, Texas [ My favorite? Have to go with Tacoma, Washington for the temperate climate and combined beauty of the surrounding mountains and the water. If you can get past the rainy days which I could, I think, because my ancestors were most likely English and/or Irish. ]

Outside the U.S. - Italy, Germany and almost Puerto Rico

(In case anyone is wondering about my apparently erratic daily steps, I'm attempting to sketch a rendition of the world's mountain ranges with my sparkline. So far I think I have a pretty good rendition of the Matterhorn and Cumberland Gap going there. The rest is all Appalachians and rolling hills, with death valley thrown in for good measure.)
