Okay, I am laughing her all the way over in Michigan! What a great story!!!!
Ps my DD likes holes in her jeans also.

:) Great story and steps!
Hey, I'm on her side, 20 bucks for jeans, is a good deal!
I have to laugh when I think of how I was very conscientious (for years) about my kids having jeans without holes for school when they were growing up. (How's that for a long sentence?) Holey jeans are really stylin' these days.
Oh my! I guess I am old-fashion or something...but I wouldn't pay $20 for jeans with holes in them. A quarter--maybe =)
Don`t hink they have come back in over her... as yet! still seems to be the baggy look....
So she has definitely reached the age of not liking the camera!!!

Thank you, guys. Ross, this young mother is in her 30s -- the very daughter who's been proving very adept with the camera herself. She just knew exactly what I was going to do with the photo!
a very dear story, and I LOVE the photo!!!
I guess we have to go with the times. I just do not see having so many holes you can see the skin.
My dad used to say to my sister when she wore jeans like that...."Well I see the shredder won. Did it steal your money too?"
Susan should have told DD2 she will be get rheumatism in her knees, that's what the DR told me when he first saw me in a mini skirt.
Isn't this a riot!? I'm still laughing...
Derek wanted to know what i was laughing at.
Makes me laugh as well. Reminds me of when Dh when shopping with fashionable CA sil and came back scandalized that sil paid over $100 for jeans - and "can you believe it, the ones he got turned out to be ripped".
Dearest Susan please tell your DD 2 that I LOVE her Jeans and I'd wear them too!!
They're a great "cut" and they'd be perfect for doing so many things in, very comfy looking.
My eldest son Justin wore his jeans with lots more rips/holes than these. He was always doing things with his jeans, "tearing this and adding that"
Dayyán has never bothered much about his clothes though.
Emma says "baggy" is out now Ross, really tight-leg jeans, for girls at least.
I've seen quite a few ripped jeans here too.
As they say in Ireland Susan, "well wear" A GREAT blog!!!!!

Wonderful, Susan! Your words make it seem like I was there, right with you all! I get made fun of, also, when I pull the camera out...another WT photo??? Eyes roll...you know!
Great story. Yes, Mom's laughing. Grandma's laughing. Uncle Jim is teasing. Love it.

To which she just grinned and said, "Mom..."
DH said, "You bought those that way, didn't you?"
She grinned, "They were on special."
"You didn't really buy those," I said, by then knowing she really did buy them. "Twenty-five cents at a garage sale!"
"Twenty dollars on clearance."
I could hear her Grandmother Lehman laughing all the way from heaven. "I'll laugh up my sleeve at that," my mother was saying.
Not only that, I could hear my grandmother laughing as well, "Oh, forever-more," Grandma said. Then she and Mom started talking in Pennsylvania Dutch -- and they laughed again.
"I've got to get a picture of this."
"No, you don't -- I know what you're going to do with it."
"She's going to post it for the world to see," DH said.
"I won't show your face, just the jeans."
(And so I didn't.)
Wonderful trail walk with Sallie, spots of ice on the creek. Finished on the treadmill while watching the news.
