Hi! Not sure where you live, but where I am in Rhinebeck, NY, I have the same problem. They love to come into my bathroom. So far, this is the only place they invade. During the spring, I would actually use my vacuum attachment to vacuum them off the window - about 10-15 a morning. I felt bad at first, but yes, the suckers bite, so they do not have my sympathy. Why do peope insist on putting plants, animals and insects where they don't belong???
We have a hard time learning, don't we, @annarose*?
Ladybug, ladybug, fly away home
You're house is on fire
And your children alone.

Hot dog roast????? not poor sallie i hope??????
Campfires with the family are always a good time. Maybe we will have an Indian summer in Nov. where another one can happen.
DH said those silly "ladybugs" were a problem at the BU game at Anderson.
I do not think they caused the Beavers to lose, though.

We get these ladybugs, too. I haven't seen them yet this season, but we do have some flying ants right now and they stink terribly when killed...
WOW!
couldnt refrain:
"the hot dog is the only dog that
feeds the hand that bites it!"

Here's a ladybug -- but NOT our native one! Cute thing, right? If only... This is an import, not our more benign native species, which has a more red color rather than this orange.
This bunch looks for an over-wintering site about right now and is flying about everywhere! AND it bites. People thought it would be wonderful to have it eating aphids, particularly on roses. What a mistake!
Here's what Wikipedia says: "Although native species of coccinellids are typically considered benign, in North America the multicolored Asian lady beetle (Harmonia axyridis), introduced in the twentieth century to control aphids on agricultural crops, has become a serious household pest in some regions owing to its habit of overwintering in structures. It is similarly acquiring a pest reputation in Europe, where it is called the "Multicoloured Asian Ladybird" (In Britain: "Harlequin Ladybird")..."
