The Shedd Aquarium is an awesome place. I bet you enjoyed seeing it through your grandchildren's eyes. I especially liked the colorful coral.
Have you been to the Science Museum lately? I remember being fascinated by the chick birthing display? I wonder if it is still there.

Frustrating when the steps don't add up. For some reason my work steps add up much faster then home steps. I have a sit down job and the steps add up. At home, it is NOT the same story!
I also think my omron misses a lot of steps. Mine like me to walk continuously.
Same as mine. It really don't count my walking around the house steps.
Omran's own literature says: "The unit may not count steps correctly in the following conditions: ...4. Walking at an inconsistent pace. When you shuffle or wear sandals; when you fail to walk consistently in a crowded place; 5. Up and down movement. Standing up and/or sitting down movement; playing sports other than walking; ascending or descending movement at stairs or in a steep slope...7.Jog or walk extremely slowly."
So, I have no qualms about using conversion charts for vacuuming, for instance (taking off my peddy completely). But wouldn't quite know how to count the minutes at Shedd for conversion. In the larger scheme of things, it doesn't matter too much -- a low day is all.

I have also noticed that where I wear the peddy makes a difference also. If the pocket I put it on is a little lower on my hip, it changes the count a little. I know, I must be obsessed if I know this.
So which place gives you the higher count (tell me, tell me!)?
whaaaa haa haaa!!!! I shall NEVER tell!!!!
Okay, if you twist my arm! If I put if right on my hip it seems to work the best. I avoid placing it on my pocket.

Ok, I do that, too! Except for right this very minute when I'm set to go to church and have on (get this) a dress! With no pockets. Guess where?
Teee he he
Works -- fairly well.
