High winds & rain. Work. Felt like death warmed over when I got up & dreaded driving all over the county, I was too tired. Went to check out a car but motor pool had been evacuated to another location due to flooding.  Found them.  After a cup of coffee, I recovered somewhat & drove to Canby, Sandy, Estacada, Sandy again then back to Oregon City.  Phew.  I was worried about driving in stormy conditions but it wasn't too bad.  It wasn't raining that much.  The brunt of the storm was further north in Washington.

It was cloudy, & dark, & at 10 a.m. it looked like 5 p.m.  There were some sprinkles as well.  Work.  Today is Kevin's last day here, so we went out to eat Mexican food.  'Enchiladas de espinacas' and margaritas.  Walking was just an idea in the back of my mind.  It just didn't happen.

Cloudy, a bit of rain.  What did I do?  Went to work...took a small walk...and did nothing memorable.

Cloudy, damp & later, snow.  Set out walking to find 3 caches, but was unsuccessful.  On a good note, got lots of steps!

Cloudy & damp.  Went for a cache, got to the coordinates, found a sprinkler, which may have been fake but it didn't open.  I don't know if that's the cache or not.  I was in a business park and a security car kept circling the lot, so I gave up.  Maybe next time...

and I found my pedometer....in the couch.

A bit of rain.  Went to JPI with Kev to observe a jeep sale.  Took a walk to Orchard Park, the boardwalk is under water.  I found a cache. Yay! Ate out with K, J & Yoda and then we went to see Benjamin Button.

It rained all day, then it snowed.  The creeks & rivers are now flooding.  Walked in the pouring rain to find a cache & found it. I've misplaced my pedometer.  Again.  Drove to Portland, to 2 bookstores, then had lunch at Paradox Cafe.  My tempe tacos were pretty good, but Selena said her sloppy joe looked like Timothy's vomit. Yum.  Happy New Year!

It's raining.  For work, drove to Tigard & Sandy.  Found a cache at the K-Mart parking lot.  Woo hoo, I've been looking for that one for a while.  I was really tired, so I didn't stay up to watch the 3 million dollar ball drop or anything.    Went to sleep at 10.  Happy 2009!

Cloudy but no rain.  Took the day off work.  We took Cas. to the airport again at pre-crack of dawn & I'm happy to report she made it to Florida.   Today did housekeeping & shopping.  What did I discover today?  A container of homemade muffins under the piano bench made by Jes.  Too bad they were sitting there for a week with no mouths to feed.

A cold rain.  Cassandra leaves for Florida.  Went back to work after 11 days off.  Ran around like a chicken with my head cut off.  Met Selena Ian Kyle for Sushi.  Lost my parked car in downtown Portland and searched for it in the cold rain for half an hour.  Picked up Cassandra at the airport again.  She's back.  Long story.  Don't ever fly Southwest.  Ever.  Worst airline in the world.

The weather is mild and clear.  Took C. in to her hair appointment, and while I was waiting, traipsed around in a muddy slopey park with a creek looking for a cache.  Didn't find it, but successfully got nice and muddy. We did find a quick cache, mostly due to Selena.  Went out to dinner, party of 7 at Nicholas' Lebanese Restaurant, where we ate a pita bread as big and warm as a baby blanket.

Warmer in the 40s and the snow is melting, yay.  After going to the library, went geocaching with Selena in downtown Beaverton and snagged 4 caches, woohoo!  Both of us got our hair cut.

A few sprinkles of rain, & the snow is melting, but there is still a lot of ice, snow & slush on the ground.  Took a walk to look for another cache, but it's too difficult with all this snow still on the ground. We got our feet wet & cold.  Another movie tonight at the theater: "Seven Pounds."

The sun came out.  After gift opening, went for a walk in the snow looking for the evil cache.  Dinner was late - 10 p.m. -- after the jet lagged ones had a siesta.  Happy Holidays!

Sprinkling rain melted some snow, the temperatures have eased up and the roads are better now.  And Cassandra made it in, two days after schedule, but in one piece.  Hooray!  Our Xmas eve activity was going to see 'The Day the Earth Stood Still.'

Snowflakes.  Kev & Jes arrive after a day delay. One more kid to go... Attempted to go to work...the drive was long and treacherous...stayed for 15 minutes then left.

It stopped snowing for now.  Selena arrives.  Yay.  This is the worst snowstorm in Portland in 40 years.

Ice storm, then more snow....We got on the train to pick Selena up then found out her flight was diverted to SF.  We froze our tushes off waiting for the train.

Snowstorm today, did go out to do a bit of shopping but didn't walk as I don't want to trudge around in blowing snow.  The media is covering this all day long because it's rare and it's a big deal.  Spent most of the day cleaning up for the arrival of the Kidz.  And wrapped a few presents.  Didn't get around to any baking....maybe tomorrow?

A little more snow today, but not too bad.  Today is Friday, my day off from work.  Continued and finished the translation today, which is an "Exclusive Artist Contract."  Took a walk.  Not too bad today, but another snowstorm's coming tomorrow.  Just in time not to go Xmas shopping.
