Royal Free?
It's a hospital, where I had surgery in January. I think the name goes back to when most hospitals charged patients, so now that most of them are free it's a bit anachronistic, but the name sticks ! Can't explain the Royal bit, though !
Was in Alaska for the whole of June, met some lovely people, and the one thing they all wanted to know about was our National Health Service. For most of my life I've not thought about it much, just paid my NI contributions each month, but in the past year I've had two stays in hospital and one major op (in the Royal Free) all of which probably cost thousands, and I'm truly glad of it.
