This is London, and we are pensioners - never go out without our bus passes - jumped on a 43 to the end of our street !
and why not your buses are very regular, we need to use the car, we havnt a local bus service as such.
That's one reason why I wouldn't leave London permanently, the free public transport. Since the congestion charge came in, there are more buses, and you never wait long now. So I usually walk as far as I can, then get a bus when I'm tired.
